Girls Player of the Week: Kristine Tran, CSC Fury 02
Kristine plays as a central defender for the CSC Fury. She's a tough competitor and this season has improved tremendously to lead the Fury's back line. This past weekend she thwarted many opponents attacks and helped the team achieve a positive result over a team higher in the table. Congratulations on an impactful season Kristine and great work!
Girls Travel Player of the Week: Valerie Tonnu, CSC Spirit Red 03
Valerie gives great effort in practices and in games. Valerie has an amazing feel for the game and is always in position to intercept a pass or to adjust on the fly to trap a ball. She consistently wins 50/50 balls using leverage and determination. Her abilities and versatility were evident in today's game.
Boys Travel Player of the Week: Matthew Seigne, CSC United 05
Matthew has improved greatly this Fall. Playing against older players, he is fearless when challenging opponents often times significantly larger in stature. While Matthew uses his physicality to his advantage, he is also improving in his passing technique, receiving the ball across his body, and dribbling skills to become an all-around player. He can play numerous positions including in the defensive line as well as in the midfield. His hard work to improve, follow coaches instructions, and work with his teammates are all great attributes and very much appreciated by his coaches.
