Chantilly Soccer Club Mission and Philosophy

The CSC Mission and Vision Statement: CSC is a 501c3 non-profit educational organization. The Mission of the Chantilly Soccer Club is to provide a safe and fun environment in which the youth of our community can learn and develop a love and appreciation of the game of soccer. All players participating in the programs offered by CSC will be required to remember that the building of character, learning, having fun, participating in physical activities, and the development of responsible citizens are of primary importance, while attaining of exceptional athletic skill or winning games are secondary.

The Chantilly Soccer Club is committed to the long term development of the individual- building soccer skills and character simultaneously. The combination of talented, dedicated players, supportive parents, quality coaching, and strong management equates to a successful program.

 

  1. Travel Program Mission Statement: The mission of the CSC Travel Soccer Program is to provide a highly competitive and demanding environment for players committed to playing at a higher level.

  2. Recreation Program Mission Statement: The mission of the CSC Recreation Program is to provide a learning environment emphasizing fun, deliberate play, and health and fitness. Our grassroots programs- including the CSC Rec. Academy (training), Saturday Jamboree (competition), and weekly Free Play sessions are for boys and girls ages U4 through U12 and emphasizes individual skill development, developing basic principles of play, and encouraging players to take individual initiative in game-like situations. At U9, players who are ready for travel will be given the opportunity or continue in the rec. development program until they are. At U11 boys and girls can form teams to compete in the Suburban Friendship League or continue in the Rec. Jamboree.

The Chantilly Soccer Club Player Development Philosophy: To develop players to the best of their abilities by providing a player development pathway that focuses on building the foundation of success by simultaneously building individual soccer skills and building character by teaching the ideals of fair play, sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork. A successful CSC player has a will to succeed, an ability to deal with adversity, lead, is self-confident- in personality and with the ball- and has the ability to problem solve through creativity, collaboration, and innovation

The Chantilly Soccer Club Coaching Development Philosophy: To empower coaches by providing the best environment for coaches- both paid and volunteer- to develop through education and mentorship in order to succeed in becoming role models for fair play, sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork, and by implementing the highest learning standards for youth players based on the CSC Curriculum, the US Youth Soccer Player Development Model, and 2015 US Soccer Player Development Initiatves.
