Free play (aka 'street soccer') is an important component of the CSC Curriculum. Unstructured play in the form of small-sided games (i.e. 3 v 3 or 4 v 4) is vital to learning creative play in an environment where taking risks is encouraged without fear of making mistakes. Free play sessions are monitored by CSC Coaches to ensure player safety, organize players into teams, and set-up the fields, however, coaching is minimized. CSC offers open free play sessions throughout the year for CSC players, and players interested in playing soccer from the Dulles area community.
